Episode 41: What’s the Deal with Vaginal Washes?

Joy Noble • May 28, 2024

Welcome to Pints & Pelvic Floors: The Podcast.

In Episode 41 we do a quick dive into vaginal washes and why you DO NOT need them!

Tl;dl (too long; didn’t listen)

  • I mean honestly this episode is like 5 minutes so it’s not too long to listen!
  • Main takeaway: you do not need any fancy vaginal/vulvar washes - the vagina is self-cleaning, the most you really need is water!
  • Sweat and hair and scents and smells are a normal part of having a body
  • If you need to wash with something, wash the external vulva only, with a mild softsoap
  • Avoid fragrances, scrubbing beads, glitters, sprays, or anything targeting you to make you more appealing ‘down there’
